Shady Shrew insists he will win today’s rowboat race. He claims his custom telescope glasses will allow him to focus on the finish line for the entire race. Shady says this will give him a psychological advantage over the other contestants. What does Slylock Fox think?
Answer — Even if it were true that concentrating on the finish line improved performance, it wouldn’t matter. Rowing is performed by facing backward to the direction of travel. Shady would be staring at the starting line!

I agree with ebby, telescopes are used for seeing longer distances, as in, space. if he were wearing telescope glasses he would not be able to see even if he were facing the direction of the finish line, whoever makes these should work on that…

If he will wear binoculars he wil be able to see the far objects not the near one so he willn’t cross the finish line

i disagree with devin,not all types of telescopes see into space,there is the pirate telescope which is used to see other ships,so if he enhanced it he probaly could see the finish line.

I say he will have to turn around his boat and by the time he turnes it around and the other contestents will be far ahead
and by the time he reaches the finish line the other contestants will be far ahead in the winners circle.

The telescope will make the finish line seem closer, so that shady shrew will row faster then the others, it also will give him more certainy that he will win.

well; i thought it will not be that much of an advantage because when going foward it might pass the finish line. so theres noting much to focos on.

i knew it!!!!!!!!!!! just some how i knew it it was like but wouldnt u be facing backward??????!!!!!!! lol
